Icelandic architect Þórir Baldvinsson (1901 - 1986) was not only influential in Iceland but he was also an idealist who fought for improved housing in rural Iceland. He was the first to introduce functionalist architecture in Iceland and was a pioneer in such buildings in Iceland. This is a long awaited book about one of the giants in the history of Icelandic architecture.
