The second crime novel by Unnur Lilja Aradóttir who received the crime novel prize Svartfuglinn for her first book, Höggið (2021). In this book the main character Júlía is forced to go back to her homtown to attend the funeral of her grandmother. Once there she is face to face with the hostility of the townspeople towards her and has to come to terms with her difficult upbringing.
