This is a collection of essays about literature by Árni Sigurjónsson. They deal with the literary style of Halldór Laxness and Níels skáldi who was a common poor man from Skagafjörður in Iceland, to name only two of the topics dealt with. He also writes about medieval symbolism and how it can be used to study medieval texts.
