This is the third and the last volume of Guðrún frá Lundi (1887 - 1975) series about the tengdadóttirin (the daughter in law). Originally published in 1952-54, it was hugely popular in Iceland. Guðrún had a natural way of combining her portrayal of Icelandic rural communities and folk culture with a marvelous personal gallery.
