Guðrún Baldvina Árnadóttir, known as Guðrún frá Lundi (1887 – 1975) was a monumental author in the mid twentieth century and onwards as the most popular, most read, most sold author of the time. Her stories reflected the rural farming societies, love lost and gained. Most of all her characters have lived to this day. This story was published in 1952 - 1954, originally in three volumes.
