Tímarit Máls og menningar has always been a landmark publication in the cultural scene in Iceland. This is the first 1942 volume. Edited by Kristinn E. Andrésson with articles about art and literature. Contains poetry by Icelandic poet Jón úr Vör whose book Þorpið (1946) was a landmark publication in the modernistic revolution in Icelandic poetry.
