Psychiatrist Óttar Guðmundsson has previously wondered about the sanity of characters in the Icelandic Sagas. His book Hetjur og hugarvíl (2012) dealt with a host of known characters. Here he focuses on the Sturlunga sögur. Sturla Sighvatsson and Snorri Sturluson among others have a session with the psychiatrist.
