Jamestown was a large, three masted sailing ship that ran ashore close to Hafnir on the Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland, in 1881. There were no crew members on board thankfully at the time. Strangely it had been deserted for some time and drifting on the oceans. It was however loaded with wood that was meant for the railways in Europe. Wood that would be put to good use in building many houses that are still standing in Iceland.
