So many books have been written about men in Iceland's history. Women meanwhile however have been in the shadows. The woman in question in this  book by Erla Hulda Halldórsdóttir, Sigríður Pálsdóttir, most certainly lived an eventful life. What is also interesting is that her life was also very well documented in surviving letters.
