Brynjólfur Þorsteinsson is a young Icelandic poet. Won the Jón úr Vör prize in 2019, followed that with his first book of poems Þetta er ekki bílastæði and in this book goes to explore the afterlife. Sonur grafarans (The Son of the Gravedigger) is an uncanny, slightly dark albeit with a touch of humour. The main character, the son of the gravedigger has some scores to settle when the ghosts in the graveyard start to speak.
