Skálholt is without doubt one of the more historical sites in Iceland. It was the residence of the bishop for many centuries, culture center as well and authority both for the church and public governance. This is the second volume of three in publication dealing with the results of archaeological research that took place in the years 2002 to 2007. The book is in English with a summary in Icelandic.
