This wonderful autobiography by American author and art patron Gertrude Stein (1874–1946) describes her life in avant-garde Paris through the eyes of her lover Alice B. Toklas. Picasso, Matisse, Cézanne and Hemmingway were regulars in her atelier in the Left Bank of Paris.
