Safnasafnið launched its Showcase pub­lications in 2016, with the objective of researching its collection and presenting it to a wider public than those who visit the museum’s exhibitions. This primarily reflects the museum’s policy of cata­loging and mediating an undervalued aspect of Icelandic art history, which the museum systematically nurtures. This is the eighth volume about Icelandic folk artist Svava Skúladóttir and like other volumes in this series,  it is bilingual.
