This story takes place in occupied Reykjavík in the year of 1942. Suddenly, a thirteen year old girl is arrested on the streets of Reykjavík and brought to Kleppjárnsreykjarskóli. There, girls who were thought to socialize too much with British soldiers, were kept as punishment for their crime. What the crime was is hard to decipher all these years later but this story is based on the diary of the woman in charge of the facilities and police records as well as reports of the many girls that were kept there.
