This book is published in the memory of Icelandic author and literary critic Eiríkur Guðmundsson (1969 - 2022) who was born in Bolungarvík in the Westfjords of Iceland. The book is a collection of essays that deal with how Icelandic culture has been shaped and affected by authors, artists and various art works that stem from this isolated and magnificent part of Iceland, the Westfjords.
