This book is about the life and work of the women living in what was once one of the larger towns in Iceland; Eyrarbakki. Certainly the main town in the south of Iceland for many decades. The book consists of interviews with some 38 women whose viewpoint spans about a hundred years in the history of Eyrarbakki.
