Two Icelandic students, Elísabet and Benedikt, meet in Leipzig shortly before the fall of the Iron Curtain. They fall in love but for some strange reason, the authorities start having an increased interest in them.  Decades later Elísabet is forced to revisit this past and confront their problems.
