This is Gerður Kristný´s ninth book of poems, her last one Sálumessu (2018) got nominated for the Icelandic Literary Prize. Her poetry is a tightly knitted tapestry with wide connotations and appeal. There is also a subject matter here that runs through and that is the polar regions, the environment and the impact of changes.
