Guðjón Samúelsson (1887 - 1950) was the first Icelander to be educated in architecture and when returning from his studies, was awarded the title of State Architect in 1920. His buildings are all over Iceland and his influence on Icelandic architecture is tremendous. In this marvelous and timely book, architect Pétur Ármannsson goes over his life and work.
