This book, whicht is the twenty-seventh in the series about Icelandic Folk Culture, deals with diary writing and almanacs over a period of some two hundred years, 1720 - 1920. Diaries that are preserved at the national library of Iceland, written by some three hundred individuals offer a unique view of the time of writing.
