Guðmundur Finnbogason (1873–1944) was a pioneering psychologist in Iceland and Scandinavia and his work Sympathetic Understanding a classical study in Nordic psychology. In this book psychologist Jörgen Pind covers in detail his life and work but Guðmundur was also a chief architect of the educational system in Iceland at the time.
