Awe inspiring comes to mind. Followed by brilliant, utterly brilliant. A two volume introduction to the animal kingdom by Örnólfur Thorlacius. Work that he had been working on, on and off, for the last six decades or so. After his sad passing in 2017, his work was finished by his relatives. The Icelandic equivalent to David Attenborough in many ways, this is just simply brilliant.
