Lilja Sigurðardóttir has been writing crime novels, plays and tv series manuscripts. Her novel Gildran (2015) was nominated for the Golden dagger award and her other novels Búrið and Svik she was awarded the Icelandic crime novel prize blóðdropinn (the drop of blood). In this book she continues with the two main characters from her previous novel, Áróra and Daníel who investigate a kidnapping of the wife of a wealthy businessman.
