Eugenía Nielsen (1850–1916) was the wife of the merchant in Eyrarbakka. She was also a pioneer in so many ways in the small village of Eyrarbakki on the south west coast of Iceland. Their house, now known in Eyrarbakki as simply Húsið (the house) was a hub for artists and all kinds of gatherings for every kind of an event Eugenía wanted to celebrate or support each time. Just a brilliant piece of a book by Kristín Bragadóttir.
