The poet and worker Arnfríður Jónatansdóttir (1923 - 2006) lived most of her live in poverty in Reykjavík. She has been named as one of the first modernist woman poet in Iceland and her work was published in a collection with the work of other young remarkable poets. This book is the only book of poems containing her work published originally in 1958.
